1. Checking on recipient females that are close to calving during the evening/night hours, and assisting with the delivery of MOET offspring: birthing assistance in a biosecure facility, milking recipient, feed and care for newborn. 2. Assist with pregnancy diagnosis and fetal sexing via ultrasound. 3. Accurately detecting and recording estrus on recipient and donor females (observation and record keeping).
Qualifications:
1. Students should be at least a sophomore. 2. Applicants must be an animal science or dairy science major and have at least one course pertaining to reproductive physiology. 3. Applicants should have hands-on cattle experience and must be willing to work with both beef and dairy cattle.
