This position is responsible for public relations for a portion of an animal health company, including testimonial gathering, photography, writing, editing, social media, media relations and events management.

Job Description

o Intern responsibilities include:
o Material development (media advisories, new releases, newsletter articles, etc.)
o Event coordination
o Media list development and research
o Media coverage monitoring
o Media pitching

Job Qualifications
o Strong writing and verbal communication skills
o Excellent organizational skills
o Completion of basic PR work with at least a "B" average
o Upper classman status (Junior or Senior)
o Preference will be given to students who have demonstrated interest in PR through previous internships or involvement with PRSSA.

Compensation & Benefits Internship Specifics
o We offer both Fall and Spring opportunities(September to December 2011) or (January to May 2012)/ approximately 15 to 20 hours per week (negotiable) Paid position - $12.00 / hour
o School credit can be earned with this internship
